This stiff, upright-growing, clump-forming native perennial thrives in richly organic soils that do not dry out. It grows tall under ideal conditions, but can be pinched to promote a compact habit. Showy, off-white flowers, appear in midsummer that attract butterflies; also a larval host for the Baltimore Checkerspot.
