Blooming in mid to late summer, this handsome Japanese Iris produces large, six-inch, dark purple flowers edged in white. The flowers emerge through stands of narrow sword-shaped leaves. This Iris prefers continually moist, acidic soils, and thrives in damp borders, pond or stream edges.
